Benro Racing will make the switch to the World Superbike paddock. The team from Limburg got two places on the grid for the FIM European Supersport Cup in 2020. This competition will ride during the European rounds of the World Supersport Championship.
In 2016 Benro Racing started as a new team in the German IDM Championship. Every year the team made progress in terms of performance on the track and appearance off the track. Now, before the start of the fifth season, it’s time for Benro Racing to make the next step to the World Superbike paddock.
The Dutch team will come into action with two Yamaha bikes within the World Supersport Championship. Benro Racing will compete in de FIM Europe Supersport Cup. For that reason they will only participate in the European races of the championship. In the near future Benro Racing hopes to announce the riders for the 2020 season.
Team manager Sraar van Rens: “I’m very happy to announce that we will make this great step after six years in motorsports and four years with my own Benro Racing. From the start of this team it has been my goal to make the step to WorldSBK paddock. We will do everything we can to show our potential in this championship and we hope to make a good progress during the season. Besides our sponsors and partners, I would like to thank our team members for all their hard work and that they are still part of Benro Racing from day one.”
